What is that ?
OpenSIMPLY is a free simulation software for discrete event simulation *
The project is created as an open source run-time library which supports Delphi and Free Pascal.
OpenSIMPLY can be used for engineering simulation, science simulation and education.
Tutorial makes the learning easy and quick. Your first model can be written at once.
Full project help in HTML and CHM formats can be used with any IDE.
Insight help (pop-up hints) is available for Delphi and Lazarus.
Write the model ones. OpenSIMPLY output manager supports GUI and console modes.
Databases, visualisation, data formats etc. of Delphi and Lazarus can be used with.
For whom it is designed ?
OpenSIMPLY is suitable for person of any experience who wants to simulate in Object Pascal.
The project consists of two hierarchically built units of a different simulation technique.
The unit of high level simulation contains the set of typical queueing system simulation blocks.
The ideology of the second unit is very close to Simula
In the section Examples
you can evaluate
the models written with OpenSIMPLY.
Supports blocks-style and Simula-style simulation. The standard simulation blocks can be used for common model description, and the critical section can be written in advanced simulation technique.
The deferred statistics gathering mode. This mode allows to take into account the stationary state of the model. Certainly, the global and selected statistics gathering modes are presented in project too.
Dynamic model. The relocation of simulation blocks during the simulation gives full flexibility of the model behaviour description.
Progress feature. That is a programmable interruption of simulation that let to display the current progress, the model characteristics etc. This feature can be used to check the execution of the model running on remote computer.
OpenSIMPLY is remote simulation ready.
Licenses and special requirements
OpenSIMPLY is a free simulation software. You can use it according to the terms of
GNU General Public License
GNU Free Documentation License
To use any part of OpenSIMPLY in non free product (including commercial use) an additional
agreement has to be concluded on request.
If there is a need in something that is not implemented in standard release of OpenSIMPLY (blocks, rules etc.) please ask.
A reasonable conditions will be offered.
For any special requirements please write a message in the section Feedback
